Community Park, Idaho Falls

Community Park, centrally located in Idaho Falls on S. Holmes and 25th Street. Beautiful spot with playground equipment and a covered shelter area. Also includes Sledding hill, softball & soccer fields, and a wonderful walking path. Also includes playground equipment for the children. A great family park for everyone.

The walking path has distance signs posted so you'll always know how far you're running or jogging. There is an "unofficial" walking trail that mirror's most of the paved walking path. Great for kids to tackle, in and out of the trees. Many treat this as a "little hiking path" in town. You'll see families and kids alike riding their bikes or just taking a hike among the line of trees and up and down hills.

The Idaho Falls softball games are played here during the Summer and Fall seasons, usually going until 11pm or so. You can also see the softball games played at Tautphaus Park in Idaho Falls, only a 3-5 minute drive from Community Park. Remember on all the photos within this page you can click to enlarge. During the Winter months, Community Park is a very popular spot for sledding on the big hill that sits next to the parking lot. Many neighborhood kids are seen walking to and from the park with sleds and friends in tow. You also get the chance to see cross-country skiers throughout the park taking advantage of the nice groomed trails. The walking path is open year round and you'll often find people braving the cold Winter months taking their daily morning walks around the Idaho Falls Community Park walking path, sun or snow!
