Idaho Falls Parks
Idaho Falls has many nice parks, all well-maintained and many things to do within. There are a few large parks, all with swing sets, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and more; Freeman Park, Community Park, and Tautphaus Park, all in Idaho Falls.
Each of these Idaho Falls parks has a nice area to walk, eat a picnic lunch, walk your dog, or whatever you would like to do at a nice park. The grass is soft and green all summer long and a few of the Idaho Falls parks have a creek flowing through the middle of them, Freeman has the Snake River running along it's West side.
The Idaho Falls Parks and Recreation does a great job of keeping these parks clean, safe, and fun for all, please pick up after yourself. Freeman Park is host to the best disc golf course in SE Idaho, the Freeman Park Disc Golf Course. Along side Freeman Park sits the satellite campus for Idaho State University and University of Idaho.
Tautphaus Park has MANY family-orientated things to do. There is a skateboarding area with a few ramps, five baseball or softball diamonds, the Idaho Falls ice skating rink, four tennis courts, multiple swing sets, family fun land with a few "fair-type" rides, and the Idaho Falls ZOO!
Community Park has a well-marked jogging path and is located in the center of Idaho Falls. There are also four baseball diamonds, two soccer fields, and plenty of room for the family and kids to run wild. There is a shelter for a nice place to have reunions or family parties, located next to a large kid's play set/swing set.
